Creamy Bacon Carbonara

Ingredients
  • 500 g Fettucine, cooked and drained, reserve water
  • 500 g Bacon, sliced thinly
  • 200 g Mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 Shallots, sliced
  • Seasonings
  • 2 Tblspn Dijon Mustard
  • 300 ml Cream
  • 1/2 cup Reserved Pasta Water
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, crushed
Method
  • Brown bacon for 3-5 minutes
  • Add mushrooms and shallots
  • Cook for 3 minutes and add garlic
  • Add reserved water and season to taste, then add mustard
  • Stir in cream and cook 3-4 minutes
  • Stir in pasta and serve
