Baked Golden Syrup Dumplings

Ingredients
- 170 gm SR flour
- 45 gm softened butter
- 1 egg
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons golden syrup
Method
- Mix all dumpling mixture together and roll into balls
- Place dumplings into a pyrex dish
- Mix all syrup ingredients together and pour over dumplings
- Bake in a moderate oven (180 deg C) for 1/2 hour
