Braised Red Cabbage

Ingredients
- 90g butter
- 300g (2 medium) onions, finely chopped
- 1 small red cabbage, shredded
- 80ml (1/3 cup) red wine vinegar
- 125ml (½ cup) water
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 60g butter, extra
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Method
- Heat butter in pan, add onions, cabbage, vinegar, water, cloves and sugar
- simmer uncovered
- stirring occasionally for 60 minutes
