




Choc Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 180 g butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups plain flour (sifted)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder (sifted)
- 150 g cooking chocolate (chocolate bits)
Method
- Pre-heat oven to 180 deg C
- Place butter and vanilla in a bowl - mix until pale and creamy
- Gradually add the eggs and mix well
- Add sifted flour and baking powder - mix until a smooth dough forms
- Fold through chocolate (bits)
- Roll 2 tablespoons of mixture into a ball - place each ball on a lined baking tray
- Press to flatten
- Bake for 12-15 minutes - allow to cool on tray
