




Jen’s Mince Dish

Ingredients
- 500 g lean mince
- 1 onion - diced
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon mixed herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Dash of worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 500 g fresh tomatoes - peeled and cut into wedges
- 3/4 cup cooked macaroni
- 1.5 cup grated cheese
- Bread crumbs (and a little melted butter)
Method
- Fry onion in a little oil until tender
- Add garlic, curry powder, mixed herbs and mince
- Stir until mince is browned
- Add salt and pepper, worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce and 1/2 of the fresh tomato wedges
- Cook for 5 minutes
- Add macaroni and 1 cup of the grated cheese
- Place ingredients into a greased ovenproof dish
- Mix bread crumbs and remaining 1/2 cup of grated cheese with a little melted butter - spread over the top
- Use the remaining tomato wedges to decorate the top of the dish
- Cook in a moderate overn (180 deg C) for 45 - 60 minutes
