Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
  • 30g Butter
  • 250g Punnet Sliced Mushrooms
  • 1 small Brown Onion, chopped finely
  • 1/2 cup White Wine/ Chicken Stock
  • 1 Tblspn Finely chopped Thyme or Sage
  • 300 mls Cream
  • 1 Garlic Clove, crushed
Method
  • Melt butter in frying pan over medium heat.
  • Add onion,thyme and garlic, cooking for approx 5 minutes or until onion is soft.
  • Add mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes
  • Stir in wine and cream, increase heat and bring to boil.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and simmmer for 10 minutes or until reduced by half.
