Pavlova Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- Salt
- 227 grams of caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 dessert spoon cornflour
- Whipped cream
- Fruit salad (passion fruits, sliced strawberries, crushed pineapple or bananas
Method
- Beat the whites of 4 eggs, add pinch of salt and work for 5-6 minutes, gradually adding 227 grams of caster sugar .
- 1 teaspoons vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence and beat until stiff.
- Sift 1 level dessert spoon of cornflower and fold in lightly
- Wet the plate with cold water than heap mixture onto the damp surface .
- Using electric oven: preheat to 400* than set at 250* and bake undisturbed for 1 1/2 hours… no longer.
- Using gas oven: bake for 10 minutes at 400* then for further 1 hour turned to low.
- Top pavlova with whipped cream than decorate with fruit salad as desired .
- Recommend are: Fruit salad or passion fruits, sliced strawberries, crushed pineapple or bananas
