




Pork in Sweet and Sour Sauce

Ingredients
- 1/2 kg lean pork
- 2 tablespoons oil (or margarine)
- 2 medium onions
- 1 green pepper
- 1 small can crushed pineapple
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
- 1 cup of water
Method
- Cut pork into cubes
- Heat oil (or margarine) in frying pan
- Fry cubes until well browned
- Cut onions in quarters and green peppers into thin strips
- Add onions and peppers to pork and cook until limp
- Now add crushed pineapple, vinegar, soy sauce and salt
- Mix cornflour in cup of water
- Stir into meat mixture
- When at boiling point, reduce heat
- Simmer for 1 hour
