




Sponge Roll

Ingredients
- 5 Eggs, separated
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 Tbspn Margarine
- 2 Tbspn Water
- 1 cup SR Flour, well sifted
Method
- Grease and flour Baking Dish and line with greaseproof paper
- Heat margarine and water
- Beat whites, add yolks
- Slowly add sugar and beat well
- Add sifted flour
- Mix in margarine and water mix
- Bake in 200C oven 20 minutes in a Baking Dish
- Turn onto clean tea towel, remove paper and roll up while warm
- When cool unroll and spread with filling then re-roll
