Taco’s with A Twist
Recipe supplied by: Linda Riches
Ingredients
- 500 grams turkey mince
- 1 can black beans mashed (I just use a potato masher)
- 1 onion diced
- 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
- 1 packet taco shells
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- Taco sauce to your liking (I like hot)
Method
- Heat pan and add oil, cook onion and garlic
- Add turkey mince and cook until brown
- Add mashed black beans and stir through
- Add about 1/3 cup of water and reduce heat
- Cook for 20 mins. Mixture should be nice and thick. Add a little water if required.
- Meanwhile follow directions to cook taco shells in the oven. ( line a tray with alfoil so I don’t have to wash the pan)
