




White Sauce
Recipe supplied by: Sharon Jackson
Ingredients
- 2 T butter
- 2 T plain flour
- 2 cups milk
- salt and pepper
- ½ cup grated tasty cheese
- 1 t Dijon mustard (if desired)
Method
- Melt butter in saucepan
- Add plain flour
- Stir with whisk over low heat for 1 minute
- DO NOT burn
- Gradually add milk - a little at a time
- Mix continually
- Bring to the boil, reduce heat and cook for 2 minutes
- Season with salt and pepper
- Add grated tasty cheese and Dijon mustard (if desired)
